The request on this case was to develop mobile apps that gather and present gambling information for online casino and fantasy sport players. They are given the option to either “taste” the game for free, or to play for real money.
In research we discovered that most of our users are actually women; thus, we designed an elegant and warm UI with colorful hints. We also felt the need to add more elegance to the app, because online gaming design tends to be very “realistic,” “sparkling,” and “full of life:” mostly in the hope of recreating the experience of Las Vegas, or Macau (good luck with that ;-). We preferred to focus on the total User Experience, rather than the mere visual aspect. Our focus was to let the user enjoy the main content—gambling—without distracting them with unnecessary UI elements.
